Boating near Munising, Michigan|Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore| adventure elopement inspiration

I've been working on Mackinac Island this summer and have enjoyed every minute of it. However, the other day I decided to take a random trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The drive from Mackinaw City was two hours and those two hours were probably the best two hours of my life to this day. I decided to buy myself a ticket for the Pictured Rocks Cruise which was a 2 hour and 15 minutes tour around Pictured Rocks. In 1966, Pictured Rocks became the first National Lakeshore in the United States.  The views to this National Lakeshore were absolutely breathtaking. Everyone visiting Michigan should definitely visit Pictured Rocks! Honestly, I chose to do this because I am an adventure photographer and want to prioritize traveling to different places when I am not working elopements and weddings. If you’re considering eloping in Michigan, I’d highly recommend doing this boat cruise and allowing time for wedding portraits at this National Lakeshore!

If you're considering eloping somewhere epic, this National Lakeshore near Munising, Michigan would be amazing! It is accessible as a day-hike, overnight backpacking hike, kayak and by other boats. It definitely has some of the best views in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. Contact me here if you'd like more info about eloping at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore!
